Tai Chi and Yin Yang

Tai chi, the ancient Chinese martial art of breath and exercise, also known as tai chi chuan is designed to ensure a perfect balance of the yin to yang and/or yang to yin balance. The two terms stand for the male or aggressive and female or calm features predominant in the universe. The martial art in combat has a much larger broader philosophical sense, with the primary goal of each exercise of tai chi chuan training being perfecting this balance of energy. Lao Tzu, a promoter of the Tai chi, the ancient Chinese martial art of breath and exercise, also known as tai chi chuan, generated the archetype for the exercise routines.

His treatise on the same in the venerated Tao Te Ching mentions the soft and the pliable defeating that which is hard and overly strong. This is a clear indication of the dedicated yin and yang aspect of the Tai chi martial art. The balance in human and environmental nature in the show of this art form relies on sensitivity to the attacking opponent's movements. The other factors that dictate the movements and the result include the center of gravity that brings on appropriate response and the nature of the attacking force.

Tai chi, the ancient Chinese martial art of breath and exercise, also known as tai chi chuan affects or captures the attacking force within the designed center of gravity during the attack. With this kind of action unfolding immediately upon contact, the trained moves are exhibited to fit within the situation and become the primary goal of the martial art student. The yin and yang balance in Tai chi, the ancient Chinese martial art of breath and exercise, works along the sensitivity needed to first and foremost gauge the center of activity by first yin and then yang forms.
